Toyota Pick-Up truck Collides with a Toyota Corolla Resulting in Death

On June 18, 2022, at approximately 10:20 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Termino Avenue regarding an injury traffic collision between two vehicles. Upon arrival, officers discovered Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel on scene and rendering aid to one of the drivers involved in the collision. The LBFD transported the driver to a local hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The preliminary investigation revealed that a 1998 Toyota Pick-Up truck was traveling westbound on Ocean Boulevard and was making a left turn southbound onto Termino Avenue. The truck driver failed to yield to an oncoming 2014 Toyota Corolla that was traveling eastbound on Ocean Boulevard, subsequently resulting in the collision.
A 49-year-old male driver of a Toyota truck was killed after a collision with another car at an intersection in Long Beach, California. The driver of the Toyota Corolla, who remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, is not believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office will work to identify the decedent and notify his next of kin. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective S.
