BMW Collides with Ford Sedan in Woodside Resulting in Injuries and Death

Tragedy struck this weekend on Interstate 280 in Woodside as a terrible car accident took the life of a 54-year-old woman from San Francisco. The incident involved a BMW that was hit by a Ford sedan that was traveling the wrong way on the busy roadway. The victim, Eden Palmer, has tragically been identified by the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office, and her 14-year-old son was also in the car and suffered significant injuries.

What’s more, the driver of the Ford sedan was identified as a 24-year-old computer science teacher, Constellatia Martin. Officer Art Montiel expressed his surprise at the bizarre situation, but remained focused on the injured parties. Among them was Martin, who unfortunately suffered from a fractured wrist and had to be transported to Stanford Hospital. While authorities wait for toxicology reports, they are also searching for witnesses who may have seen the suspect’s car enter the freeway in the wrong direction. Beyond the investigation, friends of Palmer are coming together to support her son who is still being treated at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital.
