Land Rover Collides With a Truck in Los Angeles Resulting In Death.
Monday brought tragedy to Los Angeles when a 1-month-old girl, traveling in a Land Rover on the 101 Freeway near Valley Village, was killed and two adults were left with significant injuries. Reports from the California Highway Patrol indicate that the crash happened when a large truck with an enclosed van trailer merged onto the freeway just in front of the Land Rover. Upon impact, the driver of the Land Rover lost control, causing it to roll several times before coming to rest at the side of the freeway.
The infant inside was ejected from her car seat and did not survive while two adults in the vehicle were transported to local hospitals with notable wounds. People’s attempts to reach California Highway Patrol (CHP) about the events of the crash were unanswered. The driver of the 2015 Kenworth truck was identified as a 67-year-old man from Los Angeles, but unfortunately, CHP reported that neither the driver nor her infant passenger had been wearing seatbelts at the time of impact. Video footage taken from the helicopter showed that while the driver appeared not to be seriously injured, nearby wreckage likely indicated a childseat involved in the collision.
