Chevrolet Corvette Collides with Honda in San Fernando Valley Resulting in Death

This morning, tragedy struck the San Fernando Valley when a white Corvette allegedly traveling at excessive speeds ran through a red light and crashed into a Gray Honda on the 6400 block of North Balboa Boulevard. Police reports indicate that the driver of the Chevrolet may have been going close to 90-100 mph when they hit the Honda, resulting in an accident so severe that two individuals lost their lives, with the other passenger taken to the hospital and left in critical condition. Sgt. Hector Gutierrez of the Los Angeles Police Department added that they are still carrying out investigations into what exactly happened.

Two of the three victims were left trapped in the wreckage according to the Los Angeles Fire Department, although their ages, genders and names have not yet been released by officials. Friends gave a heartbreaking account of the accident at the scene of the crash; longtime friend Michelle Matsuo described Kathy as a loving mother and grandmother who was on her way to her job at the post office when it happened. Along with her daughter they paid tribute to Kathy’s memory by placing blue balloons at crash site – a fitting way to mourn a lifelong Dodgers fan like Kathy.
