Chevrolet Sedan Collides with SUV Resulting in Death
Early Tuesday morning, two men died in a violent crash in Woodland Hills. The preliminary investigation reveals that a Chevrolet sedan and an SUV crashed into each other head-on along Victory Boulevard just east of Mason Avenue around 11:35 p.m. Monday. Arriving first responders found that the drivers of the two cars were trapped inside the wreckage. One man, identified as 24-year-old Armen Benglyan of Northridge, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, a man in his 30s, was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
Officials with the Los Angeles County coroner’s office have not released the name of the second driver involved in a fatal car crash that occurred on Victory Boulevard in Woodland Hills. The office is withholding the driver’s name pending notification of his family. No eyewitnesses have come forward to authorities, but several people in the area heard the crash. Justin Hunter, a student at Pierce College, said he often travels on Victory Boulevard and that the incident has made him more grateful for his life. Officials temporarily closed Victory Boulevard between Mason and De Soto avenues for the investigation and reopened the roadway ahead of the morning rush hour. No further information was immediately released.
