2-Year-Old Killed by Car Backing out of Vallejo Driveway

A heart-wrenching tragedy unfolded in Vallejo when a two-year-old child lost their life after being hit by a car Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred when the 25-year-old driver, who was a friend of the family, was backing out of their private driveway around 5pm. The driver believed they had hit something and stopped their vehicle, only to realize the unimaginable horror of what had occurred.

The tragic news of the young child’s passing after being injured has shaken up the family. According to a news release from the authorities, the child was taken to a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries. 

Police are still investigating the incident and have yet to release the names of those involved. This marks the third fatality of the year caused by traffic collisions in the city.
