Kari Marboe Killed In Pedestrian Accident Hit By a Land Rover Resulting Death.

Kari Marboe, 37, of San Rafael was killed Tuesday night after being struck by a suspected drunken driver in Lucas Valley, the Marin County Coroner’s office said Friday. The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Rubicon Court, the California Highway Patrol said. The driver of a 2016 Land Rover was traveling northbound when he hit Marboe, who was standing in the road in front of the vehicle, the CHP said. Marboe was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.

The driver, Brian David Phillips, 39, of San Rafael was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI causing great bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. He was not hurt. The CHP is investigating the incident.
