Hit and Run Accident in Walnut Creek Results in Death.

On Saturday night, a hit-and-run accident in Walnut Creek killed a woman who was trying to cross the street. Police received several calls around 7 pm about a pedestrian down at the intersection of N. California Blvd. and Civic Dr. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman who had been struck by a vehicle. The victim sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she later died. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene before police arrived. Witnesses described the suspect’s vehicle as a gold or tan, four door sedan.
