Pedestrian Struck in Hit and Run Accident at 4400 Shellmound Street Resulting in Injury

On Saturday, the Emeryville Police Department responded to a devastating hit-and-run incident at 4400 block of Shellmound Street. The vehicle had collided with a pedestrian who was taken to the hospital with major injuries and is now in “critical but stable” condition. Emeryville officers were able to quickly apprehend the suspect, identified as a 34-year-old San Francisco man, who was on foot just a few blocks away from the scene of the collision. The suspect has been arrested for driving under the influence, fleeing the scene of a collision and gun possession.
