San Jose crash kills pedestrian near McKee Road and Highway 680

Tragedy struck San Jose on Monday morning as a pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a car. According to police, the accident occurred just after 8 a.m. near Regional Medical Center, in the vicinity of McKee Road and Highway 680. 

A routine drive turned tragic when a 2008 red Lexus sedan hit a pedestrian on McKee Road in San Jose. According to police, the victim was crossing the street outside of the marked crosswalks, making it difficult for the driver to see him.

San Jose is tragically no stranger to traffic-related fatalities, with the latest incident marking the 21st such death this year. The victim’s identity has yet to be released, as authorities continue to investigate the incident. What is known is that the driver involved in the incident is cooperating with law enforcement, an act that can help bring some measure of closure to the grieving family and friends of the deceased.
