A Woman Struck by a Vehicle at Harris Road and Manon Avenue in Hayward Resulting in Death

On Wednesday morning, a tragic accident in Hayward ended with the death of an 82-year-old woman. Police received reports of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at Harris Road and Manon Avenue. The victim was found trapped under the vehicle and did not survive. Unfortunately, the driver had left the scene before officers arrived, but ultimately returned and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities do not suspect that intoxication was involved in this incident. The incident has been identified by police, but out of respect for her family she will remain anonymous until they are contacted. This is unfortunately Hayward’s 10th fatal collision this year.
