Incident Information

Bryan Tostado, 25, of Norwalk, was arrested in connection with a fatal two-vehicle crash that took place early morning on Wednesday in Long Beach. According to initial reports, the accident occurred at around 1:10 a.m. on the eastbound 91 freeway, west of Susana Road. Tostado was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed in a 2004 Toyota when his vehicle collided with the center divider and hit a 2022 Freightliner from behind.

The driver of the big rig, only identified as a 57-year-old man, lost control of his vehicle and the semi went off the roadway. The victim suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by officials at 1:38 a.m. Tostado was also injured in the accident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
