Honda Fit Collides with Toyota in North Hollywood Resulting in Death

Sunday night’s car accident at a North Hollywood off-ramp was devastating. Two people were killed, and two others were hospitalized after a Honda Fit collided with a Toyota stopped at the red light. The Honda completely overturned and hit a signal pole before crews arrived at the scene in the 11400 block of Magnolia Boulevard near N. Tujunga Avenue just after 7 p.m.. Tragically, one of those hospitalized was an infant, while two others, both adults in their thirties, were trapped inside their vehicle when help came. Firefighters from the LAFD responded to the scene and worked with speed and precision through the wreckage, freeing a 40-year-old male and 35-year-old female who were both hospitalized, though sadly they later passed away. Meanwhile, a 10-month-old infant was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries along with the driver of the other vehicle. The cause of the crash is still yet unknown, but authorities will continue to search for answers at this time.
