A 38 year-old nurse was riding his motorcycle from Oakland into San Francisco on the Bay Bridge when a driver (who was on the job for a linen supply company) made an unsafe lane change.
The driver made an abrupt and dangerous lane change just after the metering lights at the toll both of the Bay Bridge in front of the motorcyclist, which caused the motorcyclist to swerve into a semi tractor-trailer.
The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in the motorcycle accident including a dislocated shoulder and fracture of the humeral head. He was rushed to the emergency room by ambulance.
The shoulder injury required surgical repair at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. As a result of the injuries, the Oakland motorcyclist was forced to miss his work as a nurse for three months.
He therefore sought help from San Francisco personal injury accident lawyer Sally Morin and her team to recover payment of his medical expenses, loss of earnings and money for the pain and suffering he endured due to the accident.
He made a full recovery from his injuries and chose to settle his case for the fair amount of $145,000 just three months after sending his initial settlement demand.
