Car Collides with Fire Truck and Ambulance Resulting in Injury

In the early hours of Sunday morning on Highway 4, a harrowing incident unfolded as a car crashed into an ambulance and fire engine responding to a prior collision, as reported by the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. At approximately 2:28 a.m., Con Fire units were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on eastbound Hwy 4 near Loveridge Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered a third vehicle had also been involved in the crash. Unexpectedly, a fourth vehicle slammed into the fire engine and ambulance who were providing assistance to those from the initial collision. Due to the impact, the fire engine truck was rendered inoperative, with the full extent of the damage still unclear. Grueling consequences extended as the ambulance was towed due to the impact. Remarkably, both medics and firefighters emerged from the chaotic scene without sustaining any injuries.
