Incident Information

Woman Arrested After Pitbull Attack on Child, 1 Other in Fountain Valley

On June 1st, a brutal Pitbull attack left two people injured, including a child, in Fountain Valley around 10:14pm. Responding officers found a man and an older child with severe dog bite injuries at the scene on Brookhurst Street and Talbert Avenue. The incident led to the arrest of a 32-year-old woman on suspicion of felony child abuse. The victims were immediately rushed to a local trauma center, but their condition remains unknown. Reports say that the Pitbull, police deemed as vicious, was later euthanized by Orange County Animal Control.

Jessica Gallegosparrilla, owner of the Pitbull was arrested on charges of felony child abuse and later assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm. This has left many people shocked as she pleaded not guilty according to court records. Although details about the circumstances of the attack and the relationship between Gallegosparrilla and the victims have not been released, it is clear that this is a very serious matter.

As the investigation continues, many are hoping for answers and justice for those involved. Our prayers are with the victims at this time, and we hope for a speedy recovery. It’s a stark reminder of the danger that certain dog breeds pose, and the importance of responsible ownership and safety precautions. The severity of the injuries, especially those of the minor, underscores the seriousness of the crime. Authorities are likely to pursue the case aggressively to get justice for the victims.
