Car Accident Victims Killed Instantly by Speeding Car in Redwood City

On Friday night, a tragic car crash in Redwood City left two young girls without parents. Grace and Greg Ammen were killed instantly when their vehicle was hit by a speeding car, and their daughters – both just 7 years old – were left orphaned. The community has rallied around the girls, setting up a GoFundMe page that has raised tens of thousands of dollars in less than a day. Surveillance video of the crash shows the horrific moment when the speeding car hit the Ammens’ vehicle, forcing it into oncoming traffic and sending it careening into a light pole. The impact was so great that the Ammens’ car was almost completely demolished. Witnesses describe seeing the two young girls crying and screaming for help in the aftermath of the crash. As police search for the driver, members of the community are urging officials to make changes to the area where the crash happened, in order to prevent future tragedies.
