Hit-and-Run Crash in South LA Leaves Several Injured, Two Kids Critically

A horrific crash involving several cars has left multiple individuals injured in South Los Angeles. The incident, which was reported on the 9500 block of Main Street around the time of 7:45 in the evening, resulted in at least four individuals being taken to area hospitals for treatment. Although reports from the Los Angeles Fire Department previously stated that two of the individuals that are in critical condition included a 17-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, further updates revealed that it was a 5-year-old girl who was seriously injured along with the 17 year old.

Details state that a woman who was 31 years of age, was driving westbound on Colden Avenue. As she approached the intersection at the traffic light on Main Street, another vehicle, a gray Infiniti, unexpectedly ran the red light and collided with her car. The woman suffered non-life threatening injuries, but the incident took a much more severe toll on a 14-year-old girl who was also in the woman’s car. She was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. Even more concerning, the driver of the Infiniti and at least two passengers fled the scene.

Although authorities have yet to release anything further, the cause of the crash and other details related to the incident remain under investigation. Hopefully the injured parties can make a full recovery soon. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of driving safely and responsibly, respecting traffic signals and the lives of those around us. Road safety should always be a top priority when driving.
