Silver Ford Mustang Collides with Silver SUV Resulting in Death in Sylmar

On Sunday, a tragic incident was reported in Sylmar, leaving an 18-year-old man dead. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a 2003 silver Ford Mustang was speeding southbound on Foothill Boulevard when it swerved into oncoming traffic to attempt to avoid colliding with an early 2000s silver SUV that was exiting a store parking lot. This ultimately caused the Mustang to crash into a northbound 2000 silver Toyota Tundra. The only passenger in the Mustang did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and sole occupant of the Tundra was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Witnesses reported that an SUV, suspected of causing this collision, kept traveling southbound without stopping, prompting police to treat it as a hit-and-run. The driver and her male passenger had been shopping in a grocery store right before getting into their car and leaving the parking lot. This is a reminder that all drivers must take extra caution when making maneuvers on public roads as they can cause other vehicles to crash and be considered liable for the incident. Furthermore, even if one causes a collision one has to stop at the scene. Failing to do so will make it a hit-and-run according to the police department.
