A Pedestrian Hit By Chevrolet Tahoe and then a Toyota Corolla in San Jose Resulting in Death
The California Highway Patrol reported that a person was struck and killed while trying to cross Interstate Highway 280 in San Jose on foot Friday night. The victim, who has not yet been identified, was hit by a Chevrolet Tahoe and then a Toyota Corolla as they ran across the highway. Both drivers stopped at the scene and cooperated with officers. A third driver later reported hitting the pedestrian’s body as it lay in the roadway. The incident occurred just after 10:20 p.m., and the highway was closed for several hours afterwards. This is the second pedestrian death on I-280 in San Jose this year. In May, a woman was hit and killed by a car while walking along the highway.
