Pedestrian Struck By a Vehicle in San Mateo Resulting in Death

On Sunday, a tragic incident occurred in San Mateo when a 64-year-old pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. While officers were still en route to the scene, reports came in of an injured individual at the 2200 block of Ralmar Avenue near Bay Road and Newbridge. Upon arrival, they discovered an unconscious man in the home’s driveway accompanied by three other damaged vehicles. The victim was rushed to hospital where medical aid was attempted, nevertheless he had passed away. The identity of the deceased remains undisclosed until next-of-kin notification is made. Officers identified the vehicle involved and soon discovered it had collided with two other vehicles parked nearby and left an impact on a home’s fence.
